UC San Diego is the region’s only comprehensive brain tumor treatment program. We utilize molecular diagnostics, gene expression analysis in addition to other clinical data to personalize treatment plans for each patient based on an in-depth understanding of each patient’s individual tumor.
With its multidisciplinary approach the Brain Tumor Unit at Moores UC San Diego Cancer Center provides comprehensive care and advanced treatment options. These include surgery, conventional conformal and focused radiation (stereotactic radiosurgery with gamma Knife and LINAC-Pinnacle) and chemotherapy, as well as clinical trials using novel and experimental therapies.
